The  MaliMali studio is up and running again and we are in the middle of producing various orders which have come in during the last two months. I am working once more at the bogolan table, and every time I look up I am pleased to see Boubakar, our adorable little donkey foal...

Well, I suppose Dolly had become a truculent old thing, complaining to me about my singing to pigs. But I would still like to know about his well-being somewhere in the depths of the Sahel. Are you in communication?

Dearest, Dolly is no longer with us and I do not know his whereabouts. I am sorry to tell you that he was sold last winter, together with Max, to lighten the burden of feeding my menagerie, since there is hardly any money coming in. We only kept the female donkey(which still has no name. Sorry...
